Unique, art deco set of chairs and table, 1st half 20th century, The Netherlands.

Designs have characteritics of the ‘Haagse’ style combined with Art Deco.

The wooden furniture has been painted which gives it the look of burlwood or walnutwood.

Chairs have a low seat (heigth 42 cm) but it does not seem to be a children’s furniture set as rest of its size is perfectly suitabe for adults as well.

Underneath the table there is an old paper label from the Dutch railway company in a writing that dates the set to be from the 1st half 20th century (Nederlandsche Spoorwegen) and indicated this set has been transported in that period of time.

Set is sold yet lightweight. It has signs of ageing and usage as shown on the images.
