“Crisisstoel” (crisis chair) design & production Piet Hein Eek, The Netherlands

This chair is designed by  renown dutch designer Piet Hein Eek himself (as of 2010). He dared himself to make a good design for an affordable chair, made with cheap material for which he chose underlayment. This makes the chair a unique and out of the ordinary object. In 2020, the Central Museum in Utrecht added this chair painted in light pink which was described to be the ‘Corona crisis chair’.
