Chair CH47, Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen & Son, Denmark 1960s

Chair  CH47 is designed by renown scandinavian furniture designer, Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen.

Its design is minimalistic and stylish and has a woven seat and a solid wooden frame with rounded profiles. An important element is the curved hind legs which give CH47 a laid-back look. But more important, the curved legs are chosen to give the backrest the correct angle but also to ensure that the chair cannot fall backwards.

The chair is an early version, its first owner bought it in the 60s. The chair is in a good, solid condition with of course signs of ageing…
