1940s Gispen (attr.), Pelko 42 style, easy chair

Beautiful vintage design easy chair made of a wooden frame and a seat & backrest of woven rope/papercord. This chair shows real craftmanship, especially looking at the shape of its armrests. The chair shows many characteristics of the so called Pelko 42 chair from W.H. Gispen, a renowned Dutch furniture designer from that period.
