ERic Vasström studied in Helsinki, Saint Petersburg, Berlin and Scandinavia. In 1917 he was employed as a drawing teacher in Helsinki, but he also produced works for several Finnish newspapers. During 1917-1924 he produced works for his own satiric magazine.

Over time, Vasstöm developed into a brilliant watercolor, Aquarel painter, mostly of Helsinki landscapes. This one is an atmospheric work of the small streets of Mont Martre in Paris.
