‘Laminett’ easy chair, Yngve Ekström for Swedese, Sweden, 1966

Beautiful, original early version Laminett easy chair designed by Yngve Ekström for Swedese in 1966 (date is on its original canvas). What’s also rare, is that this chair has the original Pastoe brand mark underneath as in the 60s, Pastoe was given the sole selling-rights in The Netherlands from Swedese. The armrests are especially striking as it is made of two different wood types. Wondeful, organic shapes. Re-upholstered with an off-white woolen bouclé from Bute fabrics.
