Floorlamp, model NX 546, design Louis Kalff for Philips, 1950s, the Netherlands

Beautiful, rare floorlamp, model NX 546, designed by Louis Kalff for Philips in the 50s, the Netherlands.

The lamp has a round, cubistic style shade, metal with black wrinkle paint, and its original ribbed acrylic diffuser which creates a warm, subtle light effect. The shade is fixed to a conic shaped, brass base.

Its metal round base has a small white on-off switch.

You also see this lamp with a small diffuser on top of its shade. This might be missing or there were two different models. I personally, do not see it a s disturbing as without it, it is a beautiful item.
