Beautiful armchair model number 714, designed before 1903, manufactured by J & J Kohn, Austria.
four-legged base amde of brown-stained beechwood with an embossed (faux) leather seat with decorative nails.
This model was presented in the J&J kohn catalogue of 1904 & 1907 (see last images).
Striking are the rectangular cut-outs in the backrest. The design of model number 714 is attributed to both Otto Wagner as well as Gustav Siegel.
Underneath its seat has an attribution mark of the manufacturer, J&J Kohn.
The chair is in a good, solid condition with signs of ageing as shown on the images.
