Evert van Lopik is a Dutch painter, sculptor, and graphic designer based in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam from 1968 to 1973. Van Lopik’s work is characterized by its expressive and figurative landscapes, often featuring cows, which are reduced to simple black-and-white streaks, while the surrounding environment is painted with large, bright color fields. His approach to art is influenced by his direct surroundings, particularly the landscape of the Alblasserwaard, where he lives and works.
