Price on request
Beautiful, iconic wall lamp, model 40450, designed in 1955 by Wim Rietveld (son of Gerrit Rietveld) for Gispen.
The lamp has an industrial look and feel and has grey metal arms which can be adjusted in different positions with the red metal tool which is fixed at the wall plate. The black ‘Panama’ shade still has its original diffuser which is rare as they are usually damaged or missing.
The lamp is in an original, working condition. Its condition matches its age. Lacker of the shade is still very nice, 1 small chip off the black lacker and the inside has changed color and has become more beige/yellowish, as well as the diffuser. Small part of the rim has slight deformation which can be seen on the images. Not disturbing.
