Great pair off 2 so-called NY chairs by Takeshi Nii, 1950s Japan. Minimalistic folding chairs with a chrome X-base, beech wood arm rests and orignal canvas fabric in sand, off-white, brown colors. The chair was named NY after the designer’s family name and meaning new in Danish. This chair has won many awards, including the Good Design Award from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion and is part of the permanent MOMA collection. The chrome has some wear/patina and fabric (which is very strong) shows some stains . See all images for a good impression.
