Set of 3 midcentury dining chairs, Gessef, model Havana, Consorzio Sedie Friuli, Italy
Price on request
Beautiful set of not so easy to find Italian design dining chairs from the 50/60s.
These chairs are known as model ‘Havana’, made by Consorzio Sedie Friuli in the Friuli region, a major center of Italian chair production in the 1950/60s.
The chairs have a striking, sculptural design, looking at the legs and the way the papercord is weaved trough openings in the wood at its sides.
Chairs have new papercord, weaved by a professional, so as new.
The blond walnut wood has loads of patina (untouched) which I think make them extra interesting….gives a lot of character.
