Set of 6 “Tulu” chairs by Kazuhide Takahama for Gavina, 1970s, Italy
€3300,00
Great set of 6 so called ‘Tulu’ chairs.
The Tulu chair was designed by the Japanese designer Kazuhide Takahama (1930 – 2010) for Simon International in 1966. The Tulu is one of the very first models that paved the way for the use of chrome-plated steel rod. The steel rod makes it possible to produce softly curved, extremely rounded structures.
The back and seat upholstery is attached with zippers and completely removable. The light blue Alcantara, suede fabric is in a very good condition.
The Tulu chairs are slender, elegant, with a thin and slender profile but at the same time comfortable and solid.
These elegant stackable chairs are in very good all original condition.
